The Xbox One S console looks almost like an Xbox One controller. It supports bluetooth connectivity, this means you can use it not only on your console but also on your computer.

The console also has a textured grip, which makes it more comfortable to hold for extended periods of time, unlike other PlayStation consoles.

Xbox One console. It also has a more powerful wireless antenna that makes it possible to sit further away from the TV than the Xbox One.

Old Xbox One consoles also work with this controller, which is great for those who are used to it. The only negative thing about the new console is the battery, it would have been better if the battery was rechargeable.

The console is only sold in white, but there are special edition controllers in various color schemes that coincide with the game releases. You can also install skins on your Xbox, and the controllers can be customized through Microsoft's Xbox Design Lab software.

If you use your Playstation console for apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, and YouTube, you'll be happy to know that each of these apps has a 4K version that works on the Xbox One S.

Positives

  • Small in size compared to its predecessors
  • Great HDR and 4K streaming
  • good price
  • Negatives
  • 4K gaming capacity is limited
  • Kinect cannot be connected without an adapter

Best Hybrid Game Console - Nintendo Switch

When you buy the Nintendo Switch bundle, you'll find:

control unit

Two controllers without parts can be separated

Grip enables you to combine them into one gamepad to play on TV

Two Joy-Console Converters

The docking station that you can use to attach a TV controller to traditional gaming

There are tons of accessories, and they all come in high quality. The screen resolution is 720p.

Joy-Cons itself has a lot of functions built into it. The right-hand hold the A, B, X, and Y buttons Nintendo used, and an oddly placed analog lever. There is also a plus button start.

On the left is the minus button, which is the SELECT button, the Share button for capturing the screen, the analog arm, the numeric pad, and the two shoulder buttons.

Another issue with the switch is that it doesn't have many third-party addresses for it.

Console mode requires the installation of the controller to be connected to the TV.

The console seamlessly transfers the display from the portable screen to the TV screen without even having to pause your gameplay.

The main drawback is that it is not as powerful as Xbox or PlayStation. It definitely won't support 4K gameplay.

The mobile device will give you 720p while connected to a TV, giving you a maximum resolution of 1080p. However, this is good enough if you aren't particularly looking for the latest visual specs on the market.

Overall, the Switch is a great console for portability and versatility, and also if you never need the power or the latest selection of the most popular games.

If you feel comfortable with exclusive Nintendo and Indie games, this should be the right console for you.

Positives

  • Cool hybrid design
  • The controllers are very dynamic and easy to use
  • The screen of the portable console is crystal clear with an impressive resolution for mobile devices
  • Negatives
  • The right arm has an odd position
  • There is no 4K resolution on the TV
  • There is no default VR rating

Nintendo Switch Lite - Best for mobile play

Switch Lite can only run in handheld mode. As a result, it is lighter and more compact than the Switch. It comes with a smaller 5.5-inch screen compared to the Switch's 6.2-inch screen, but it maintains the same screen at 720p resolution.

There are no negatives with this device. Both Switch and Switch Lite allow both Bluetooth and wireless connectivity, although you still can't connect wireless headphones to it.

Both allow external storage via MicroSD. Thus, the internal memory can be expanded to a capacity of 32 GB.

In terms of performance, there isn't much difference between Switch and Switch Lite. The only major differences were that the Switch has a slightly longer battery life, it doesn't have the HD Rumble feature that the Switch has, and it lacks an infrared action camera.

You also cannot play games exclusively designed for TV on Switch Lite. It only works with games that support portable mode.

Technically, you can play games that do not support handheld mode if you separately purchase the Joy-Cons (in addition to the charging grip). You'll even be able to use HD Rumble. But this involves spending more money.

Positives

  • Lighter in weight and compact compared to the Switch
  • Variety of colors
  • easy to use
  • Cool design
  • Negatives
  • It can only be played in handheld mode
  • It doesn't come with Joy-Crons out of the box

Microsoft Xbox One X - best for gamers

The real distinction of the Xbox One X is the amount of power. It comes with a 2.3GB CPU with 12GB GDDR5 RAM. It also provides 6 GPUs of 6 teraflops through the GPU with a speed of 1172 MHz.

This is serious computing power for a game console, and all for the good reason to enable native 4K HDR games.

The downside is the hard drive, which is secured with 1 TB of storage. 4K games are big, so the hard drive tends to fill up very quickly.

In terms of design, the One X is similar to the One S. The only difference between the two is the color scheme and placement of the disc case.

Another difference between disc tray is that the disc tray on the One X can play 4K Blu-ray discs.

Positives

  • Native 4K and HDR games
  • It has great performance even at 1080p
  • Includes a built-in DVD Blu-ray ™ player
  • Negatives
  • Expensive
  • There aren't as many exclusive offerings as the PS4 Pro

PlayStation 4 Slim - the best console for beginners

The PS4 Slim is an excellent entry-level console. With 30FPS resolution and 1080p resolution. The truth is, these specs are good enough for most people to enjoy their favorite games.

Sony claims this console consumes up to 28% less energy than the PS4 Pro. Fan noise is a good indicator of how much power the machine is using, as the overworked machine will draw more air to cool itself.
